“I think the rest of the Bitcoin world needs to be humble and be open to learning…there’s always this feeling: ‘let’s go help the Africans, let’s go teach the Africans,’ when sometimes, just shut up, and listen.” — Femi Longe
This is one important quote from this podcast and it's the truth because to Westerners it's always about 'helping/teaching Africans' when they can honestly learn a lot by just listening.
I also love how he mentions the fact that we need Bitcoin Angel Investors to help build the ecosystem. It's not enough to just stack sats but to use them to help build the ecosystem by investing in startups that are building on the Bitcoin Blockchain.
He said lots of things that resonate with any African who listens to this podcast, funny enough he became a Bitcoiner early last year so we're still early.
In conclusion, we need to start building solutions on Bitcoin that solve other problems we're facing aside from remittance.
This is must watch. I will be sharing this widely. As someone with family in Africa, Bitcoin gives me some hope that the colonization of fiat can be overcome.

Yes for sure it can be overcome, Satoshi gave us a very viable option.

Extremely important to have voices like Femi's amplified in the Bitcoin space. It's easy for people to only think of how Bitcoin impacts them

Yes, he broke down other problems that we're facing in Africa aside from inflation. Inflation is the least of our problems, Bitcoin is the MONEY that will break the colonial systems put in place to keep us stagnant.

This was a good rip I enjoyed hearing his thoughts on the bitcoin space as westerners and the rest of the world think about it he went very deep
