I absolutely love Stacker News and all the Bitcoin love that's fostered here. There are countless individuals here smarter and more well versed in Bitcoin than I am, and as cliche as it may be, the PEOPLE of SN are what make this site the most interesting to me.
I try to keep most of my content revolving around that rather than the specifics of Bitcoin itself. There is a lot of great value to uncover I've found, just by tapping into the curiosity that I know bitcoiners have. I love to ask questions that allow people to share their own nuance to things, and create discussion that reveals things that just won't get said otherwise.
So with the earth sub, I want to expand on that people focus: HUMANITY in Bitcoin.
Humans are awesome. Bitcoiners are awesome. Earth is awesome. We live all over the world. We travel. We communicate. We learn from others. We do a LOT of cool stuff outside of Bitcoin, but we also spend our Bitcoin in all kinds of cool places!
Let's share that stuff here. I want earth to be a running sub of how cool stackers are and how much we appreciate what this planet has to offer!
Share your travel stories. Your latest Bitcoin purchase in a crazy location. Your takeaways from experiencing new cultures. The mysteries you've uncovered while traversing the world, and the bitcoiners you've met along the way!
AND DEFINITELY SHOW ME YOUR MOUNTAINS.
Japan faces many problems, but all these fade away when I get treated to the gorgeous sight of the setting sun every day. I count my blessings that I married a Japanese lady and that we can return to this fabulous country every year.
I already have a post in mind for Earth. Stay tuned!

Not long ago, I believed I want to settle down very far away from civilization on some big farm where I can see very far away some day. I was imagining flat plains.
But then I was hiking in the mountains one day and then it struck me.
I don't want flat plains in the countryside. I want flat plains at the top of the biggest mountain I can get so I can have my horizon and even a great view from the top!

Amen to that....!!!

Mountains are my sweet spot, I go out even in bad times just to see them.
Seeing the silhouette in the distance is enough to make me feel happy inside.
I don't even know why I love them, it's like a visceral feeling for me.

Nothing to write home about but I still appreciate the sunrises and sunsets out there... clear your head and go back home and stack some sats...lol

Beautiful!! Should share with us the sunrise/sunset wisdom you gather out there. The mind is most clear in these places!

Honestly, sometimes for $hits and giggles while I hunt out there I just sit, camouflage well, and watch the animals interact ... and if that animal happens to be a deer and the season is open, oh well, you got bonus dinner :-) But seriously, see them respect each other e.g old coon boar and young fox over some scraps...it's a thing to see, can learn a lot from just watching that. That, plus nothing beats fresh frosty air on a winter morning (no bugs either...)
