Calling all stackers!
Leave a comment below to let the SN community know what you're working on this week. It doesn't matter how big or small your project is, or how much progress you've made.
Just share what you're up to, and let the community know if you want any feedback or help.
If you missed last week's thread, here are the updates stackers shared from all their latest work projects.
Doing my regular programming tasks fixing bugs and implementing new features.
I'm also arguing with people on another post trying to convince them why native apps rule 😅

Organizing a money evening with others, where Bitcoin, a local community currency and another solution are presented on the basis of questions that are answered. With Bitcoin I will also answer questions with slides, to make it more visual and easier understandable. I will be representing Bitcoin. The audience can also ask questions. The idea is that people can make their own decision as to choose which one or ones to use that best suits them for their use case(s).

I'm wrapping up my season performing FIA surveys of forested lands in California. Involves a lot of off-trail hiking, bushwhacking through the brush, scrambling hand-over-foot up steep slopes, and looking at my GPS while spinning in circles going "where tf am I??"
We're in a time crunch right now, trying to tally as many plots as possible before the window closes. For me, each additional plot I complete adds to my end-of-year bonus, the majority of which is going straight into my stack.
My main focus right now is stacking while I still have a chance. It feels like these next few months are critical. Wish me luck 🫡

T-shirts.
Any design ideas??
reply
This is extremely niche, but I wanted to buy a t-shirt with this tweet:
I searched and found a few companies printing tweets on t-shirts, but none of them seemed to handle this particular case, where the tweet is a reply and not a standalone tweet.

Nice. Maybe we can fix something up.

Get the paid for version of ChatGPT and have a field day talking to it in text and it generating images for. You can go back and forth and tweak to your heart's content. Couple that with even a basic image editor, like GIMP, and the world is your lobster.
reply
Didn’t know that ChatGPT can generate images! How are their images different from those generated by Midjourney and Dall-E?
reply
They are basically Dall-E, as ChatGPT is OpenAI
reply
Do you sell them online or do you print and sell?

I'm sending a proposal to the organizers of the Africa Bitcoin Conference that will be happening in Ghana on the 1-3 Dec so I can run a live commentary of the conference in our native Creole English- Pidgin...
I hope it gets approved, it will help the event to widen its reach in my region. Finger crossed 🤞🏽

Ive been incorporating crowdin into our app so that I can get communities around the world a tool to translate and localize our app in their language. That will help build communities of P2P bitcoiners around the world.

Since last week, I opened a PR to show notification badges for those who have push notifications enabled and have the PWA installed.
I also started looking into adding visual feedback via toast when you successfully invoke the @delete bot, described here.

Well, on a positive note, I'm getting in on a completely bitcoin or stacker.news unrelated thing. Very refreshing. I hope everyone here helps each other ask questions. I'm out for a bit of real coding.:)

Now that we can generate images with ease with Dall-E, I want to write a short book extolling the virtues of Kumamoto Prefecture - the place where I spent two great years of life in Japan - and complement my text with these images. I may even go as far to publish it as an epub file and launch it on Amazon just for the heck of it.
