We're hosting a team solo mining run - aka Block Party - for Whitepaper Day 🎃
What is a Block Party?
A block party is a solo mining run with a team.
How it works
  • Many folks buy-in for a large amount of hashrate, which is then sent to a solo mining "pool" (CKPool) where the miner who finds the block earns the full block reward (6.25 bitcoin + fees!)
  • If a block is found, the organizer distributes the reward
  • Block parties do not use a traditional mining pool, there is a large chance of earning no reward
How to join
  • https://rigly.io/block-party
  • Pick your contribution to the Block Party (21, 100, or 210 TH/s)
  • Today at 14:10p ET, monitor the progress of the Block Party 🤞
Fun, im in 🙂

If a block were to be won, how is the payout distributed ?
reply
The share of reward is based on how much hashrate you contribute. See “potential reward per TH/s” on the details tab.

^ and you’ll enter in your btc address in your account profile (there will be an email reminder for this once the mining starts)
reply
Oh ya but how do i actually receive it, i get an email to provide a btc address ?
reply
Look under “refund address” under View my account.
You’ll get an email reminder to set this, too

Gotta love this post where the user gets a negative 1546 margin using rigly

Hi, I just replied to that thread -- the low earnings appear to be due to mining on Braiins pool, for a short time frame when the pool found few (or zero) blocks.
Different pools have different payout formats which impact the per-day earnings.

honestly the project seams nice.. but those numbers came out bad

Doesnt matter what they earned, did they deliver the hashrate ?

dont ask me.. Seams not with those massive losses.. better buy your own lottery miner i guess.. never before had seen such loss on a mining order.. i had losses on orders, like a minus 3.. having a minus 1500 is plain ridiculous

"Lottery miners" like the nerdminer are worse than lotteries.
Although a bit dramatic, Luke Dash Jr echoes some of these sentiments: https://x.com/LukeDashjr/status/1717647290729468153

i had losses on orders, like a minus 3
I don't know what -3 means to you here but mining isn't always profitable, especially if it's only over 24h and with a potentially weak hashrate (the linked post didn't say). I don't know how you arrived at the conclusion that you'd never have any losses with mining, it's just not realistic.

i had losses.. in small amounts, If you calculate the margins a minus 1500 means a HUGE loss..
I know lottery miners are shit but at least you get your tiny hash running everyday with better odds i guess

Do you offer solo mining on the regular or is this just for the white paper bday ? Or is regular hash renting only possible via pools with accounts? Thanks
reply
Today's block party is a special event.
Normally, we just sell hashrate and you send it directly to your mining pool account. Rigly sells hashrate in 2 formats:
  • Spot
  • Auction
Spot hashrate allows you to start mining right away. The auctions allow you to buy hashrate in future difficulty epochs - with open market pricing.

Fascinating. Ya i just tried out the instant hash, worked perfectly. So is that an individual machine that is delivering the hash from some maker working with you ?
reply
Nice!
Yes, we have a couple mining farm partners who sell hashrate via our marketplace.
Their mining rigs point to our stratum proxy, where the hash is forwarded to your mining pool account.

I paid for 88 terahash and so far getting about 100. Guess i got a good machine ☺️
