Was this good ? I love A24 and this looks scary af
it's pretty solid! it's a unique take on the possession genre horror flick, and i'm glad it breaks some of the cliches
those a24 movies are always creepy
Watched this one recently. Not super scary but entertaining
This was a solid horror movie

Train to Busan - best zombie high action horror, great storytelling
Cabin in the woods - funny and original, lots of twists and turns and creativity
Dead Silence - this movie made me scared of old ladies wearing black, unforgettable scary moments
Shutter - Thai horror movie, I still think about the ending scene til this day

best i've seen from the last year or two would be: smile (as others have said), antlers, gaia, and anything for jackson.
the menu and barbarian were good horror movies, but not really that scary.
hereditary is older, but scarier than all of them
oh, black phone was pretty good too
Im realizing i havent watched anything scary this year...😔
Not a lot of opportunity in my life nowadays. But most 'recently' I watched Robert Eggers' 'The Witch'...loved it and pretty scary 🤙
The Witch is soooooo good!
The Fall of the House of Usher
view on youtu.beyeah i just finished this one. i like most of his stuff, and this was no different. i still think midnight mass and the haunting of hill house are his best
Yeah, I thought The Fall of the House of Usher was well done, but agree that Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House are better.
I need to watch this….
Every television intervention by Janet Yellen who wants us to believe that everything is fine when we can clearly see that America is burning. Really scary!
Smile, I know it was technically last year, but best horror film I have seen in a long time.
I’ve heard mixed reviews. I do want to watch it though. The previews made me jump like crazy
haven't seen a whole lot of horror this year, but i did watch saw x recently and it was surprisingly not bad! i do keep hearing about event horizon and want to give that one a shot...
Speak no Evil
Talk to me...Damm!
I really haven't seen many. The last time I had a TV longer than a year was when the Berlin Wall came down.
However, I did saw Marvel's Daredevil on someone else's set this year.
Oooh, it was horrifically bad! Atrocious!
Great thread. Scream 6 is probably at the top of my list for this year. I love the franchise.
Hereditary though its been around a while
Nun 2
Saw X

Agree. Smile has so many iconic still frames, genuinely stuff you are unable to erase from your mind.
