This is a great overview. One thing worth adding is which wallets currently support splicing or intend to in the future -- it's a huge quality of life improvement for mobile node usage.

Tried to send to my new phoenix wallet. Payment fails. Transactions isnt free or almost free, almost 5000 sats to send , thats not cheap?

I tried to send 1000 sats from the ZBD app and it failed because the fee was to low. It makes sense what you say though. I have not opened a channel i guess.

So if i send lets say 20000 sats into it that should cover the cost and then i get to send /receive cheaper later ?
