Well, they put a screen on it. So that's good. I was not a big fan of the original blind signing design.
Also, it looks like CashApp is upping their withdrawal limits. I don't use CashApp, but this seems good. I had heard that the limits were rather small before.
In general, it seems cool all the things that Block is doing to promote Bitcoin usage, and these improvements are going a ways to making me interested in becoming a user.
I have the original Bitkey so I don't love this upgrade, and given the price of the new one I have no desire to get one. Hopefully they continue to support the V1. No complaints with mine. It works well and also happens to look great on my desk.
I used to work at a hardware wallet manufacturer.
We laughed at the BitKey, because they said a screen isn't needed.

Well now that post didn't age so well.
Yes, I think the discovery of all the hardware signed projects of the last decade was: people really need to see what they are signing.
My poor old keepkey is nothing compared to this ðŸ˜
Reducing friction is the best way to drive adoption. Nice to see the Block team continuing to iterate
Is the rest still made of stone?
Unclear. I've never touched one.
i used the original, it feels like the engineered stone they make kitchen benchtops out of.
DOPE
Bitkey is solid maybe I’ll pick up this upgrade
The vertical integration between Cash App and Bitkey is becoming a powerhouse

I was always hesitant to get one because it had no screen. I still won’t get one for personal use but I will get it for family. I was just showing them the original one a few days ago now I got to show them the new one. I’m sure they’ll like it because they liked the fact they didn’t have to remember a seed phrase.
