@Cje95 is strongly pro US but he also engages in dialogue and debate on this topic and more broadly on others...he does not actively resist and avoid a contest of ideas or hide his views.
@denlillaapan rarely engages in a contest of ideas- almost exclusively only practices echo chamber circle jerking with those who agree with his views. @denlillaapan actively avoids discussing the war and does not reveal his views on it.
@Cje95 profile is not hidden in TOP stats. He could have a second nym that is concealed but would he spend 300000 sats to silence a post raising the issue of The Greater Israel Project?

The downzapping is from someone with strong pro US pro Zionist viewpoint and they are using a concealed nym to do it and spending a lot of CCs or sats to remove any news, views and dialogue opposing the war and especially the Israeli Zionist genocides and expansionary land grab intentions.

Where is the downzap category? I only see LIT/NEW/TOP.
You can get downzaps by installing the browser extension that I created (it'll give you a permanent downzaps button in Stacker.news). The botom of this post has instructions on how to install the extension - #1473885.
The extension also has a cool new feature, which is that downzaps are high-lighted in red (otherwise it's 3 clicks to see each item's downzaps, which is a pain).

I usually realize there's been some downzapping the next day, when I get a lot more rewards than I'd expected.
Personally, I only ever downzap at 21 sats as a "thumbs down" to a post (and even then, the bar is pretty high). I like my sats way too much to spend hundreds or thousands trying to hide a post from others.

Exactly! Almost everybody just looks at the default feed. Unless you're explicitly looking at new, or downzaps, you won't see these censored posts.
There must be a way to set up your feed to not be so susceptible to anyone with a lot of sats.

Well, almost all of people here are USAians. Also... These posts (including this one) seem to have high positive sat ballance, so is that really a problem?
I do think it's a problem. I didn't really understand downzapping until one my my (anti war) posts disappeared, then I started looking into it.
I think it would be great to be able to have MY main feed ignore downzaps from certain people. I'd pay for that.
Or ignore downzaps from unnamed people. Or something similar. I just want to know who is influencing my feed.
