“What a trip down memory lane!” I exclaimed nostalgically, my soul being transported back to my carefree days of living alone. I had decided to declutter my digital albums — and knew that starting with my Kumamoto apartment album would unleash unbridled joy and fond memories. With a wry smile on my face, I scrutinised each and every photo.
My apartment wasn’t the biggest, but it held space for my dreams and aspirations. Even though it was as small as a sparrow’s dwelling, it had separate spaces for the toilet and shower room, including a bathtub. How I wished I had soaked in that bathtub more often. My kitchen was located right next to the door. Only two people could stand in it at any one time, but I loved it because it allowed me to look at my living room and take in the assorted knick knacks I had accumulated throughout my stay. Also, my apartment boasted a balcony. The view was nothing to shout about, but nonetheless, it was a good-to-have feature. (I live in land-scarce Singapore and my current flat does not come with a balcony.)

Japanese are very good at making the most of a small space!
and their attention to details is amazing
wow... It feels crowded! Reminds me of one of my rentals of a few years ago. Such good memories in that tiny apartment. Enjoy! May it bring you happy days!
