I have seen disruptions before but this one is pretty wild. The protester who caused the disruption is U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Sgt. Brian McGinnis and he is likely going to be in considerable trouble over this. Optics are a big thing and being in full uniform like he was is going to flag the DoD Instruction 1344.01 and 32 CFR Part 53 where it prohibit wearing the uniform at protests that may discredit the Armed Forces or imply military sanction of the cause.

It is already an arrestable offence when people disrupt Congressional proceedings but now he has a broken arm to go along with it. He isn't going to have a good case for legal recourse to cover the bills since he pushed the door into the position that trapped his arm and then reached out and pushed away officers. So he's probably going to be fined as well.

For those wondering the hearing was over current readiness of the Joint Force and had Vice Chiefs of the military branches testifying.

Yeah he was yelling “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel”

I do not think I’ve seen a veteran yet who supports the behavior because of the Dress Blues being worn. Esp. my Marine buddies on both sides are livid about that. The fact he started using the Marines song for political reasons as well has been a second point upsetting them. He yelled “Free Palestine, from the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, Palestine will be free”, referring to the first line of the Marine Corps’ official song.

Saw this video last night. Wild.
