Good primitives. Wrong timing. Every gap filled with whatever worked.

The Nostr whitepaper is 1,500 words. A keypair, a signed event, a relay. The primitives are correct — the problem isn’t there. The problem is the spec shipped before the tooling existed to implement it properly. Every builder since filled that gap with whatever was available. Which happened to be centralized infrastructure.

No single decision was wrong. The compounding was. We are rebuilding Twitter — not out of bad faith, but out of reasonable choices made without the tools to make better ones.

“Decentralized” is a spectrum measured by the cost to a motivated adversary to degrade or surveil the network. Right now, that cost is embarrassingly low — not because the protocol failed, but because each missing primitive got replaced by a shortcut that stuck.

Good article even if it feels very AI. tl;dr money is the moderator has something to offer here.

Its AI. 100%. After a while you can just tell. Skimmed it. Not gonna even bother reading it.

@supratic does not use LN here on SNs or is deliberately concealing attached wallets.

People endlessly virtue signal about LN use and adoption but can't be bothered to use here on SNs where we all can use LN everyday.

They look like hypocrites.

We are rebuilding Twitter

Not sure if that was the intention when nostr idea come up... I think the feature "twitter like" is more as by-product and only the users desire to have a "replacement" is pushing this idea.

Many people still don't see what other "services" can be offered over nostr and they see only the "fun part" of posting on various clients "twitter like".

Like many that are seeing Bitcoin just as a transport for more fiat money...

Nostr is bringing much more than just "twitter like".

I co-sign this take.

@Darthcoin virtue signals that he is 'living on The Bitcoin Standard' but in reality he never uses sats on SNs.

The guy is a total joke and hypocrite.

he's not the urging to use sats on SN, what's wrong with not using it? Living on a bitcoin standard doesn't mean you have to spend it all the time on every website. Saving your sats, not zapping anyone if that's someone choice is nothing wrong with it. Telling other what to do with their sats is totally socialist action, but even @DarthCoin does that and many other virtue signaling often. I don't get why you're so upset with his actions lol

Hypocrisy is good according to @Butterfinger

@DarthCoin sock puppet = bootlicking bipolar disorder.

I am not telling anyone what to do - just pointing out that they are hypocrites.
