I don’t know any other one that’s custodial, free, and works straight from the browser!
Use Cashu, seriously. Try the minibits wallet I've had a good experience with it if it's going to be custodial anyway
for nostr you could use npub.cash / shockwallet.app
I tried sending and receiving with Shockwallet and it worked, doesn’t it have NWC?
which option did you select during the on-boarding process for shockwallet.app ; was it 'bootstrap' or 'node connection'?
bootstrap - shock network is managing the liquidity for you
node - you run your own lightning.pub (is a lnd node in neutrino mode) on your own hardware and manage yourself your liquidity and from there you connect your shock wallet to it
you can use https://my.shockwallet.app as PWA in browser (mobile or desktop) or as standalone app on mobile.
first option is similar to coinos.io
and second option to Alby hub
Yeah, I've been messing with the bootstrap option here on SN for a few days and it’s solid. Used ndebit to send sats and a regular LN address to receive, but they got the CLINK option too.

Now lightning.pub is available to install on Start9 and Umbrel.
shockwallet.app is mobile app only
wrong. shock wallet is only the UI for the lightning.pub that reside on a PC at home.

I have my nos2x extension setup, but had to enter my nsec manually, which was not my favorite way to proceed, anyway ... I pressed next and could not figure out what to do on the next step, what is the meaning of these 2 options 'bootstrap' or 'node connection'?
I'm having several problems recently, my ISP blocks the login and I don't know why. I have to use a VPN to access it for some reason. Do you think it's better to stop using it?
NWC have several issues behind VPNs.
Just today I was debugging with a friend why some of his lnbits NWC accounts do not work connected on nostr, albyGo etc...
Several VPNs are blocking, idk how these connections.
So I would suggest to change your VPN IP until you find the right one. Or use NWC without VPN.
