This is something I need to ponder. Adults, ostensibly attending classes of their own volution, for their own benefit, often at great cost (both time and money) must be policed to prevent them from avoiding assignments.

The new top ranking considers the economic weight of the entire thread (the cost and boost and zaps and downzaps of its replies in addition to itself).
It might allow me to get rid of the
byoption for sorting by comment count, because this one metric implies either high comment count or highly zapped post.As part of these ranking changes, jobs can be boosted onto the homepage like anything else. Jobs in general will stop being special, except for their display, crossposting, and they can't be zapped (cause it doesn't make sense really).

Convert HTML to markdown
They don’t say it anywhere but I suppose they’re turning each HTML node into a universal tree and then convert that tree into Markdown (HAST -> MDAST)[1].
That’s what we’ve been doing!
Instead of HTML nodes we’re mapping Lexical rich text nodes into Markdown (and viceversa).
edit: but there are many other methods to achieve this conversion, so I don’t know!
