As you can see in the first image, a few days ago I made my biography a little more structured so that anyone who visits my profile can see that I am a real person and not a bot or malicious individual who is here to harm the community, as my intention is to contribute value.

My name is Lenon, I don't hide it, but I'm very different from most people, so it doesn't matter. My pseudonym on most of the networks where I create content is "Lenonmc21," so basically you can call me whatever you like, either by my name or my pseudonym.

I am passionate about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in general, although my first exposure to them was, of course, through Bitcoin around 2013-2014, or even earlier, as I saw BTC at $100. But before you ask, no, I didn't take advantage of it, I didn't buy any, and I'm not a millionaire LOL.

I didn't take advantage of it, and what I did was lose money at that time due to ignorance, since I got involved in a BTC Ponzi scheme that was created, and we all know how that ends, so no way. From then on, I began to educate myself about it, and I am still learning to this day.

What is my experience with BTC and cryptocurrencies? What is my experience with BTC and cryptocurrencies?

Many may not like it, as I was warned, but I'll comment on it anyway. I'll start at the beginning:

  • I started with what is still known today as Faucets. I worked with many of them, and from time to time I still log into my oldest Freebitcoin account and spot some or simply do the ROL.
  • Then I started creating long-form written content with blog posts on a project known in the ecosystem as the first decentralized social network called Steemit and then its fork on Hive Blockchain*, where I still create content.
    • Along the way with Steemit and HIVE, I learned a lot about cryptocurrencies in general. It was practically a school for me in every sense, and from there, I became passionate about trading.
  • Trading is one of the professions I would like to pursue part-time. I have in-depth knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis, which I apply more from an investor's perspective than as a day trader. The reason for this is, of course, the lack of the fundamental tool of every trader (capital), but I do make money. It's just that my mother got sick with cancer and I had to take it.
  • After years of trying many PlayToEarn games, I still create content for one that I play and work with several times. It's called Splinterlands. I also have my own newsletter on Paragraph, if you want to check it out.
  • I am also an expert in DeFi, liquidity pools, and ways to make the best return on capital. That's where I have investments, along with BTC, of course.

What are my goals on SN?What are my goals on SN?

I couldn't say for sure, as I'm still learning about it, but I would very much like to educate others on the subjects I have experience in.

In addition to that, I would like to encourage debate and learn from Bitcoin experts, as I am one of those who believes and knows that knowledge is power, and I would like to learn from everyone here.

Basically, this is me. I'm from Venezuela, where we have a complicated economy, and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin have allowed me to survive hyperinflation, so I can also share my experiences on how BTC and cryptocurrencies are used in my region.

I am looking for work as a writer, so if anyone is looking for one, please feel free to contact me. I hope to learn from all of you, so for now, I bid you farewell.

PS: I will look for topics that interest me to distribute some SATS. I am still learning how to do it.

In other words: you play with shit... you smell like shitcoiner.
So all these years you learned absolutely nothing.

reply

The basics of Bitcoin, yes, I have a good grasp of the theory, but technically I haven't learned anything, so that's why I'm here, to learn, and I think this is the perfect place.

Now, regarding DeFi, or altcoins, I understand why many of them are crap, and the truth is that they are, but I maintain that not all of them are, although 99% are. Even so, DeFi and its crap is great for diversifying capital and earning commissions without doing anything, so in that case, I like that crap.

reply

So you still insist in your stupid shitcoinery... right, go ahead, shitcoiner.

reply

I want to learn pure and simple Bitcoin. Can you help me with that?

reply

did you read my SN bio? I doubt you read it.

reply

I remember Steemit. It seemed so promising when I found it, but I never felt like I got the hang of it,

reply

I found out about Steemit after I started the SN research project. It was one of those moments when you realize you wrote something wrong: "To our knowledge, no other messaging platforms allows its users to directly to tip each other real money directly" <-- seems like that wasn't quite right.

reply

We could say that Steemit really boomed in its first two years, even reaching an all-time high for its token and making it into the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market cap, but today its value is too low, and its processes—I'm referring to giving value to others for their contributions—are too centralized because of how it works.

Basically, you have to be behind those who have the most voting power, and among them they vote as witnesses to maintain the nodes. It's a circle, and I'm sure many continue to profit from it, but for normal people like me who just want to create value, I could never get involved in it.

Hive is a little less centralized than them. I've been there for years, but it works almost the same way.

reply

I guess I wasn't thinking of Steemit as an active place or their tokens as real money.

reply

I understand that Steemit was quite popular at one point, but then it lost popularity with the advancement of technology and social media.

But basically, it's about creating written content, and it depends on the voting power of the people who like your content, which is like giving you a like that gives you a certain number of tokens depending on the power they have.

The power comes from the $STEEM tokens themselves.

reply

Yeah, it was a cool idea but it never clicked with me.

reply

Welcome. Stay humble and stack sats.

reply

Thank you very much, I will do that. I hope to learn a lot about BTC here.

thank you for telling your story.

do you appreciate the power of Stacker News[1] in attacking a problem similar to the one attacked by Steemit, without introducing any new currency?

You might have noticed that there's some thing called Cowboy Credits[2]. Ideally these should be interchangeable with real sats. My impression is that the best way to turn them into real sats, if you discover that you have way more CCs than you can spend on comments, is by zapping good comments early, which wins daily rewards; however that requires being online early enough to zap them.

  1. amusingly enough, regular stackers abbreviate the site's name "SN", which I still often read as "Satoshi Nakamoto" as a leftover from the early phase of my interest in Bitcoin, when I was much more interested in theories about his/their identity.

  2. abbreviated CCs, and folks who don't like them sometimes call them "cowshit"

reply

Yes, I'm not entirely convinced that CCs are beneficial, but I'm enjoying the experience here, and I'm attempting to configure the gun in my profile by entering a different address.

reply

No shame about faucets. I still collect sats from Cointiply every day, albeit limited

reply

Howdy!

reply

Hey buddy, nice to meet you 🙌

reply

Welcome aboard! I will say that you took the best decision to be on SN. There is no other places compared to SN. Where it revolves around Bitcoin and it's technology behind Bitcoin.

reply

The truth is that I like SN and how it works. I also like Bitcoin, although I don't really know much about it on a technical level, but I'll do my best 👏👌

reply

If you're from steemit and then moved to revolutionary hive you should perfectly know how to develope social networks.

stackerNews is the great place where you can contribute your knowledge and do your best.

hope to see your nym being featured in the future SN releases

Best wishes

reply

I hope to achieve that, although I know it's not easy, but I hope to add value with my experience.

Thank you very much, my friend.

Welcome

Will you be attaching a sending wallet sometime soon?

ie getting a gun to show you are serious about using the LN MoEhere everyday on Stacker News.

Attaching a sending wallet is PoW you are serious about the sats denominated P2P V4V ethos SNs is trying to build on.
