Walking through parts of Namibia, you still run into old German era buildings and churches that feel oddly out of time.

Built to last in a place that doesn’t forgive weak construction.
These structures aren’t just “colonial leftovers.”,they’re physical proof of how history leaves marks you can’t scroll past. Long after governments, flags, and currencies change, the buildings stay.

I've been there before, quite a few German speakers there. The old German style buildings in the middle of the desert are also quite the contrast.

There are actually quite more than a few German speakers here; in fact, the majority of teachers along the coast are German unsurprisingly Germans also make up a significant portion of tourists in Namibia.
