I checked the released code. It’s mainly about 3,000 lines of Python and 4,500 lines of Rust. However, the Rust part doesn’t include a Cargo.toml, and it can’t be built. It also pulls in several crates with an xai_ prefix, which look like internal libraries and haven’t been open-sourced.
I think it's always been available. I remember looking at something like this after Elon took over.
