Ahh yes Airbnb. I used to use this company quite often but lately went back to using hotels. The creep factor risk got too high for me to justify going cheap on accommodations. Plus I been buying this stock for about 4 or 5 years as part of this experiment.
At 137.5k sats per share ($95,080), and no dividend. One must ask will this growth stock grow faster than bitcoin? I don’t think Airbnb can do a good a job of protecting the purchasing power 100k sats worth of bitcoin will provide in 10 to 20 years time.
The company trades at a PE 30 which means investors are paying $30 to access $1 of earnings. Quite expensive in a historical sense.

The fundamentals of this company are very strong. The balance sheet is flawless. Good revenues and free cash flow. Expected to grow earnings by 12% and a reasonable leadership board.
Over the last 5 years the company has missed growth targets and the markets punished the stock for missing.
For my personal performance in this stock.
Barely budged but in the same 5 year time frame bitcoin has absolutely crushed it. Thus the opportunity cost of selling sats to buy this company is would’ve been a bad investment action Md
I like Airbnb the fundamentals are very strong and it appears they have strong brand recognition and thus should be around for a long time.
But at this 100k+ sat price and such weak growth projections compared to Bitcoin it’s not worth owning this stocks. But I will keep buying as part of my on going experiment.
Funny. Lately, I find bad quality Airbnb that are more expensive than higher tier hotels. I think that airbnb has mostly enshittified.
