that's a shit-ton of pentagrams on the closing door (at 3:50):
Barack and Michelle Obama were executive producers of the 2023 Netflix film Leave the World Behind. The film is an adaptation of the Rumaan Alam novel, which was one of Barack Obama's favorite books.
Script Consultation: Director Sam Esmail revealed that Barack Obama provided extensive notes on the script, particularly regarding the cyberattack and disaster elements, to ensure a degree of realism based on his experience as president.
Esmail noted that some of Obama's suggestions even "scared the f*ck out of me" because of how plausible they were.
Focus on Themes: According to Esmail, Obama's notes also focused on character development, empathy, and capturing the novel's themes of mistrust and societal collapse, rather than just the technical aspects.
Debunking Conspiracy Theories: Obama's involvement occurred after the script was written. The director clarified this in response to various online conspiracy theories that suggested the film was a secret warning from the former president about future real-world events.
The film, starring Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, and Ethan Hawke, explores themes of race, class, and the breakdown of society during a mysterious national blackout. You can watch the film on Netflix.

Dang Wumbo this is great! This last scene had me waiting in line for The Matrix Reloaded tickets.
Everyone likes the "two chicks" part of this scene, and so do I. But the second part always resonated with me, so I love that part even more.
view on youtu.befavorite scene is meeting with the two bobs, The irony of two guys, both named bob, doing literally the same job: trying to eliminate redundant or inefficient positions.

view on youtu.beNot the biggest fan of Interstellar, saw it in 70mm when it came out at the Alamo. Was the loudest Nolan movie ever until Oppenheimer, still what a great scene
I agree, I feel like the movie started great, but then they didn't know how to finish it.
With 4th detention theory there's no start or finish on life timeline, I bet most of us (regular cimena visitors) never understood this movie
Is it more the artist鈥檚 fault, or more the observer鈥檚, if the art isn鈥檛 understood?
Or is it the wrong question to approach the issue of "misunderstood art"?
I meant most of today's people can't comprehend things the future generations will understand from kindergarten. Hardly speaking kids today use gadgets like they were born with them while our grandparents are afraid to touch PC keyboard or mouse.
Nolan made the same with Interstellar, showed us ideas he comprehends but not most of us yet
mhh, interesting
This depression scene from Groundhog Day hits me hard
Such a great movie! I love it when he turns his life around at the end.

Probably not a very original choice, but it was the first scene that came to mind:

Maybe a little more original scene choice, but it鈥檚 not from a movie:

The last scene got me to watch Andor.
Andor is a very deep series (portion of Star Wars saga) that point into a more large story about rebellion, death star, greed, freedom fighters, power corruption etc
Is one of the best SW universe series and you must listen very careful the dialog. It is not just a bullshit Disney if you look under the rug.
And this very sequence from Andor reminds me of the sacrifices I've done in the communist era... it was a real battle with many sacrifices. And is also my today's battle... with shitcoiners and banksters, fiat maxis etc.
Maybe I am damned to live a life full of sacrifices.
The beginning of Star Trek (2009). It just immediately drops you into the action, after 5 minutes you finally take a breath...
