For someone hoping for self-sovereignty and capped governmental control, this is a grim read.
Of course, there are things not taken into account that perhaps ought have been. In my opinion, what is most obviously missing is some more data points.
Like, all this is a huge attack on Bitcoin's corner stones. Has Bitcoin and it's community evolved sufficiently to stand against this, or do we see a replay of the Paris Commune experiment? I really have no idea. Another thing missing is the weighing in about other client and how those may make or break a good road forward.
I'm posting this not as FUD, and I have sympathies with those seeing it as such, but for you to argue against this. Because based on the author's analysis, things don't look awesome.
