Based on my review of the plague's source code, not much. The infected spread the biohazard badge around the website, although this doesn't prevent them from participating in discussions.
Screenshots that some have shared of their notification of infection hint that the plague might have something to do with zaps. I recommend you review the code yourself if you wish to understand it completely... scroll to the end of the page for the github links.
I'm honestly baffled as to why you twisted this to be about politics... maybe you need a break from this site, or to use a different pseudonym that isn't recognized by your critics, and avoid political topics?
Anyway, the political issues should be second to survival of the uninfected. We must work together, forget any differences that might have divided us last week, and pray that the remaining developers implement and push a cure before all threads on the site become toxic.
