Danish NGO Alliance for Democracies publishes data on people’s perceptions of their political systems in over 50 countries. According to the most recent report (2024), people in China have positive views of their political system, with 91% saying that the government serves the interests of most people (rather than a small group), and 85% saying all people enjoy equal rights before the law, much higher than in the US, France and Britain.
I believe these results saying the vast majority are happy with their government are pretty much correct.
The reason I think are that the previous generation in China had it very tough. To see the economic growth and prosperity happen in their lifetimes is not easy to dismiss.
Secondly, they start the propaganda from a young age. They also value "keeping face" so any alternative opinions on politics or governance are not freely expressed.
Ethnically homogeneous and elderly population thinks government has their best interests at heart.
I don't think that gerantocratic fascist ethno-states are anything to aspire to, even if they output these kinds of polls.

Friend, are you Chinese?

In general Chinese correctly recognise the crucial role government can play in economic performance.
The cynical crony capitalist neoliberalised west has largely forgotten this...because bankers and capital have come to own the narrative and their 'democratic' governments and the resultant crony capitalism is not delivering economic improvement for most people.
The Libertarian ideology tragically plays into the hands of crony capitalism.

You are incapable of a reasoned debate and so try to shoot the messenger. Tragic!

I was enlightening you to a Chinese saying.
Try to stay on topic mate. The discussion is why are Chinese people satisfied with their government?

If you look at @Solomonsatoshi posts, he seems to be remarkably one-sided when it comes to China.
China = Good, and that's all there is to it. I wonder if he's paid to be the voice of China, on this site?

If you read my comments you would know that what you are saying is pure and utter Bullshit. In fact the opposite is true. If I was a CCP bot I would not be raising the issues I do, The response to my comments does show how in denial a lot of libertarian/westerners/bitcoiners are about the challenge China presents to western nations centuries of global domination. You find it impossible to accept that a mixed economy with significant state led capital allocation is growing faster and has come to dominate global trade in manufactured goods and commodities because that challenges your blind faith in free markets. Calling me a CCP bot is just a cheap lazy bigots way of avoiding the issues I raise.

Because-
In general Chinese correctly recognise the crucial role government can play in economic performance.
In contrast and to highlight the first point I added the following -
'The cynical crony capitalist neoliberalised west has largely forgotten this...because bankers and capital have come to own the narrative and their 'democratic' governments and the resultant crony capitalism is not delivering economic improvement for most people. The Libertarian ideology tragically plays into the hands of crony capitalism.'
All the above went woooosh over your head when you allege I was not on topic- Oh the irony ! The only thing in this dialogue that was off topic was your crude attempt to shoot the messenger with your 'enlightening' (ie completely irrelevant/off topic) Chinese saying.
You do not seem capable of reasoned debate when its starring you in the face, mate.
