I did a test and sent to my node with 0,25s/vb a small tx and it worked just fine. But I will never risk opening or closing a channel with sub 1. I will test later the contrary sending onchain funds form the node to an external wallet
Receiving to your node the fee is irrelevant on lnd's side, all it sees is a confirmed tx
This is that LND will not create a sub sat fee tx, which is good, because you wouldn't want it to and risk a channel tx not confirming
