Finishing the last tasks for this year on my "citadel" cabin and prepare it for the winter (yeah, winter is coming fast this year). Then finishing the timelapse video of the whole construction during all these 5 years. Is getting nice!

I'm trying to make migration which takes approximately infinity minutes under 10 minutes.
I'm doing bulk ops via temp table mappings and batching to avoid swapping. The only things I haven't tried yet are creating unlogged staging tables and adding constraints/indices after everything is migrated.
This has been quite the learning experience.

Okay, it's unlogged staging tables and deferring constraint/index creation is the 10x speedup I was looking for. Now I can actually debug this thing.

my daily chat standup message:
today: staring into an infinity long migration wondering who I'll be when infinity completes, what the world will look like, and if physics are constant or just stable for very long periods of time
