I don't think it's the environment that prevents him from making speeches... based on his behavior in office I think he just wouldn't be a good speaker.

Having heard Ford speak live, I can assure you people pay obscene amounts of money for any formerly famous or powerful person (or would have, in the past).

I think the same, he was not a good speaker, and besides that, I think none of his speeches stood out enough.

I genuinely feel bad for him. Based on the behavior of Hunter Biden and Jill Biden, he seems like an old man suffering from dementia, surrounded by sharks who don't really care about him and are just trying to use him.
