The demand for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in Vietnam is mainly for trading and investment purposes. Payments using BTC or USDT are not yet permitted under the law.

The picture above shows gold paper money – a type of joss paper used for burning as an offering to the deceased. This is a traditional custom in Vietnam and China. It is not real money. The picture and your quotation are unrelated and may cause misunderstanding.

You don’t live in Vietnam, what you know are just a few pieces of news from many years ago. That’s why I’m here to remind you.
My profile has nothing to do with this story. I refuse to listen to your derogatory and condescending remarks. Keep them to yourself.

I've talked to many Vietnamese friends about Bitcoin. All are curious but most are too scared to try yet. Bitcoin is still connected with scams. Fortunately Vietnam is able to legally invest in Bitcoin, unlike their neighbor China. Hopefully more Vietnamese will be open to learn about Bitcoin and soon!
