We have completed QFs now and it looks we are going to enjoy great semifinals.
Alcaraz and Sinner remain strong and got rid of Lehecka and Musetti in straight sets. They seem to head towards the final. I am sure that Djokovic, after beating Fritz, is going to try to upset Alcaraz. Tomorrow, not before 3 PM EDT, we will see if he can still dream about the 25th Grand Slam.
But the surprise, for some Stackers, came in the De Miñaur vs Auger-Aliassime matchup. The Aussie started really well winning the first set. However, Felix won the second one. De Miñaur was serving horrible, with 34% of first service only. Then, Auger won the 3rd and 4th set causing a big upset in the upper side of the bracket.
This leaves us with the following matchups:
  • Sinner vs Auger-Aliassime
  • Alcaraz vs Djokovic
Both matches to be played tomorrow, Friday 5th.
In the semifinals round, picking correctly the winner will give 4 points and guessing the right number of sets 8 additional points.

Standings after QF

Please remember that in the QF round choosing correctly the winner gives 2 points and guessing the number of sets, 4 points.
@Carresan won the QFs with 20 points, which could have been 24 if he had guessed the number of sets right in the de Miñaur vs Auger. @User21000000 was very close with 18 points. @Undisciplined, @suraz and @Zion followed with 14 points. @grayruby and @BlokchainB, despite of supporting Felix Auger, only could add 10 points as they also supported Fritz, who lost against Djokovic.
On aggregate, @Undisciplined remains at the top of the table with 33 points. @suraz and @User21000000 are following him, just 2 points behind. @Carresan has recovered from his poor performance in the Last 16 Round and is fourth with 29 points.

Wow, this is bold! All in to win the pool! Djokovic can be a possible outcome as he has beaten Alcaraz 4 times in their last 5 head-to-head. Felix beating Sinner, I am not so sure...

I am behind. I need a big swing to catch up. It is unlikely with only two options in the finals that I could catch up with so many players in front of me. It's risky but I feel underdogs in the semis is my clearest path.

I agree it would be a game changer for you. We will see how Alcaraz manages pressure of playing against Djokovic, given their recent matches. Regarding Felix, I watched half match yesterday. He needs to improve his unforced errors from yesterday's match if he wants to get a chance.
