Something from the archives: the following text was written on the last day of 2023. It had been a wild year, and this short meditation helped me make some sense of everything that had been going on, and also to accept the fact that one really can't make sense of everything. The video version was compiled in January 2025.
TEXT
The job of the artist is to get high. To reach out into the ether - the spaceless, timeless, shapeless void that contains within itself the whole of human potential - to let that silence talk to and through them, and to bring ideas, concepts never before conceived down from the shadow realms from a formless state into the lower layers of mental and physical constructs i.e. what we generally perceive as reality.
This is why the artist should never be concerned with what the audience wants. His only concern is offering them what they need - and since they’ve never had it - they don’t know what they need. The whole process mimics the creation of life itself and is what empaths, priests, parents, shamans and masters of various disciplines have been doing throughout history - and it is, essentially, being in contact with God or the Universe and simply following the Tao or the Way.
Life is art, we are all artists.

Nice voiceover on the video - calm and collective - which is art itself

Or to provide them what they don't even identify as a need--an experience.
