I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one watching Alien: Earth. Don’t worry, no spoilers for the show here. But I’ll mention the movies! 🍿

And as of recently, my husband and I have been binging the Alien movies again. We get so into it, especially piecing together the timeline:

Honestly, I’m the one who always ends up ranting about this: the Alien universe is so vast and full of potential, but so many ideas get left unresolved! Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for out of this world mysteries, Lovecraft opened that door for me. But not for this! Why introduce fascinating storylines just to leave them hanging?

I can understand the fact that Covenant may never have "an ending" but do we really need the same plot every time? Humans chasing paradise, then: BOOM 💥 aliens attack, and here we go again! Of course, there’s always one person with brains, but they get steamrolled by the plot.

I still can’t get over how they deleted all the dialogue between David and the Engineer about the creation of humans. That was the whole point of the movie, then they just cut it! I felt robbed.

But for all my complaining… I keep coming back! 🌝

Now, The xenomorph? A terrifying beauty (from a distance, please). And the different alien forms? Terrifying, hideous, I love them. The synthetics are a whole other rabbit hole: proof you should never trust AI completely (no offense, synthetics, just being careful 👀).
