the big flaw is that
if the nsec is leaked, the account is toasted
that and there is no equivalent to 'reset password'

Aghh, true, I am looking at them as one in the same. You could use nip-46 for PWAs outside of a standard browser and nip-07 within the browser. I was looking at it to narrowly. Heck I was barely considering mobile, since I spend 99% of my life at a desktop.
