Been using bitwarden for years, and I was really happy last year to see them add vaultwarden to my Umbrel node.

10/10 would download again.

Best available product. Running self host of own vault is extremely powerful.

I'm a big fan of keepassxc. has a nice ssh-agent integration, so you can keep your ssh keys in there and it'll automatically add them to your ssh-agent when your password DB is unlocked.

If you're planning to self host, have a look at vaultwarden, a much slimmer alternative to the official Bitwarden server.

Is safe?

Keepass is also pretty nice.

There have been some noises on Twitter about seed phrases stored on Lastpass being compromised. This theoretically shouldn't happen as Lastpass backups are encrypted via a password that never reaches their servers, but who knows.

Love Bitwarden. Been using it for a while.

reply

Bitwarden looks great.

Bitwarden's integration with SimpleLogin is a game changer

Is that the proton service offering to create dummy email accounts when you signup?

reply

Correct. The integration with Bitcoin streamlines signing up for new services with a unique username each time
