A few days ago, I was hired as a photographer to document the inauguration of a bakery located 15 minutes away from my city. It was a great honor for me to be hired for such a special day for them!
The first thing I did upon arrival was take a photo of the bakery's owner in front of the ribbon. She smiled proudly!
We had to wait a while for the priest to arrive to bless the bakery and begin the inauguration. I used that time to take some photos of the place.
This is the owner's sister, the bakery is a family business!
The man's shirt says: "Love at first bite!"
I borrowed a cap from them to take this photo, which I really liked. The intention was to showcase the bakery's logo:
Minutes passed, the priest arrived, and the inauguration ceremony finally began. I was in charge of documenting everything:
The most anticipated and special moment: removing the ribbon and officially inaugurating the bakery!
After that, the owner of the bakery began handing out bread so everyone had the opportunity to taste it and, perhaps, gain a few new customers:
We also had a celebratory toast!
The owner of the place was on a video call with her son, proudly showing him her new bakery:
I saw a old woman buying bread, and it filled me with so much pride, she was the bakery's first customer!
All the photos were taken with my Canon R8 camera and a 50mm lens at 2.8/f.
In the end, both the client and I were super happy with the results. I hope you like them as much as we do!

First time seeing a priest at an opening, interesting.
You can already see if they accept your sats as payment. By the way, do you talk about Bitcoin with your customers?

Did you only use this lens? The photos are very well framed for a 50mm, even with full frame I imagine the bakery is too big to shoot like that.

Why not color photos for that nice golden brown look of the bread?
