They must've updated some time after the stream. It was barren when I checked this morning.

basically turning the various elements of a miner, hashboards, fans, control board, power supply - into swapable units with no down time - Lego for your Bitcoin miners. pretty cool

I think I may have missed it in the presentation, but here's what I've seen online:

According to hashrate index, that's pretty competitive:

Ehhh when you compound that gap over 100s or thousands of rigs it’s not even close. With razor thin margins (due to the lag on bitcoin price) the efficiency isn’t that great.
The saving grace is how easily they can be upgraded

Are they just showing three miners in each picture because it looks more impressive, or do you buy a block with 6 fans like that? Really clever if it's just for psychological effects.

I think one chassis is this size (with six fans), but it sounds like you don't have to run all the boards inside it. You can have baffles in place of cards.

Strike that: I think you're right that there are three separate chassis there. It's a little easier to see in this video:

The hexagon logo does not bode well.

because you don't like hexagons or because you don't like bitkey?

There's a lot of conspiracy lore in the hexagon area. I'm just guessing that a lot of bitcoiners/miners would be aware of that and see this Proto brand with the hexagon logo antagonistically.

I'm super bullish on Block's mining division. This is a huge leap frog.
The only thing I imagine they might be behind on is hash efficiency and immersion. I also wonder how price competitive the rigs are when it isn't amortized.

Looks amazing! I love that there is more competition in mining hardware. However, I didn't see the price anywhere.
