I’m only going to earn it. It’s not enough just to buy Bitcoin. You need to learn how to work with it. You need to acquire a skill or provide a service for the benefit of yourself and the community.

Have fun staying poor is such a cunt thing to say. Be humble and stack sats is a far more noble approach to take. So every time some zaps my articles that is where I am earning my crust.

I sold all my Bitcoin last year and it was one of the greatest decision I have ever made because it was Bitcoin bought not Bitcoin earned. I’m a finally aligning with my higher self, my true self and I have never felt more free.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day.

That's stupid.

I was wondering if you were still alive. I was going to @ you in one of my posts. If you haven’t realised yet I am a mad man. I may be a fool and crazy but I am not stupid.

reply

I get what you’re saying but every single sat I have bought has been earned. I, like many others, work really hard and just because we get paid in fiat it doesn’t take anything away that we buy our sats.

reply

We must each take our own journey and find our own path. I have no intention of discrediting your hard work.

This post makes me so happy.

I'm in the same boat. I was laid off from my corporate job recently. I refuse to work for dollars from this point forward.

Sure, I have the privilege of being able to be selective because I have savings. But I still expect it to be a difficult thing. I'm going out of my way because I believe fiat is the most evil thing on this planet.

I will be working for Bitcoin ONLY from now on. I buy from merchants who accept and hold Bitcoin, and I boycott those who only accept fiat.

If only 10% of us did this, the world would change for the better.

reply

Sorry for your job loss. That’s terrible. I will say that I’m seeing more and more mentions of layoffs and it’s worrisome. Good on you for being true to your convictions in Bitcoin. That takes a lot of courage and I believe in you. Truly. You’re a stranger but I don’t care.

If I could ask one thing of you it would be to document your journey to inspire the rest of us because maybe we can get to that 10%.

Stay strong.

This is a powerful mindset shift. Choosing to earn Bitcoin rather than buy it speaks to a deeper connection with the value you create and your place in the ecosystem. It’s not just about stacking sats it’s about contributing meaningfully and aligning with principles of sovereignty, responsibility, and community. Buying Bitcoin can be passive; earning it demands effort, skill, and purpose. I respect the decision to let go of "have fun staying poor" toxicity and embrace a more grounded, humble approach. Bitcoin isn’t just a financial asset it’s a tool for personal growth and liberation when earned with integrity. Wishing you continued clarity and strength on your journey and yes, may you have a fantastic day too.

Good luck to ya

I sold all my Bitcoin last year

Out of curiosity, you sold your bitcoin for what?

reply

For $50000 AUD. Not looking forward to tax time.

reply

oof.

I wish you luck.

who did you sell it to?

have you figured out how you intend to replace it?

what are you going to buy with your fiat?

reply

Noble approach but not for everyone.

reply

Life is like a mountain, everyone must find their own way to the summit. Not all paths are the same but they lead to the same place.

reply

Yeah. Grave. Amen.

There are very few avenues to earn bitcoin. I'd like to know of places that pay bitcoin. But nothing stops a person from saving a part of their income/salary received in fiat, and convert it to bitcoin every month.

reply

There are very few avenues, because there are very few of us demanding it. Bitcoiners today appear to be fiat-maxis when closely observed. If we lived what we preach, we would inconvenience ourselves in the pursuit of ending fiat, the way OP is.

@Jimmyhoneyalchemist said, "I’m a finally aligning with my higher self, my true self and I have never felt more free." (this gave me chills, btw. I feel like Jimmy and I just became best friends.)

reply

People need to start demanding to be paid in Bitcoin or if you have your own business offer discounts or bonus’s for paying with Bitcoin.

reply

People need to start charging with Bitcoin for there skills for example if you are plumbing offer 10% off when you pay with Bitcoin for example.

reply

Sorry, but this is dumb. People "buying" Bitcoin are earning it... They are converting it from fiat earned...not sure the point of this post.

reply

How are you going to get bitcoin once it has all been mined and your countries currency is has been hyper inflated or collapsed? You need to have a skill or offer a service you can’t just rely on buying bitcoin and holding it. Maybe you can if you got in early but not everyone was able to do that…

reply

With a job or a gig you are provided value/compensation for your efforts, can be in the form of BTC directly or Fiat that is then converted. Even in places of hyper inflation there are still fiat jobs that then people save in BTC. What you are simply referring to is being self employed more so then just only "earning in BTC". Again, my point is, based on your post, there is no fundamental difference between doing a job and earning BTC directly or earning a Fiat wage and converting your earnings by buying BTC with that wage.

Edit: Also, every person person currently alive will be dead by the time the last BTC is mined in 2140 or whatever. BTC is always available, it's just about what price in a Fiat currency you need to pay to get it. But again, BTC is a savings technology to save the value you create today for a future day, even if that value is 500 sats.

reply

Did you pay taxes on your sold Bitcoin? Do you pay income tax on sats earned? We will never separate money and state it we obey their "laws". Buying, selling, earning or spending Bitcoin - nothing is enough if it is taxed. Fuck slavery. Only undergound, only hardcore.

It sounds like you've had a profound journey with Bitcoin—from buying it to realizing the importance of earning or creating value aligned with your principles. Your shift from "buying" to "earning" (whether through skills, services, or contributions) reflects a deeper understanding of financial and personal sovereignty
