I have never been a fan of going to the gym, and for years I have struggled to maintain an exercise routine at home, until I discovered the "Five Tibetans" ten months ago, which I now practice daily, usually in the morning.
Each posture is repeated a maximum of 21 times, or as many times as your fitness level allows. The whole set can easily be completed in fifteen minutes, it will improve your posture, especially if your work requires your to sit for long hours in front of a computer.
#1 will improve your balance and spatial awareness
#2 is great for strengthening your abdominal muscles, stretching and releasing your diaphragm
#3 is good for strengthening your spine and diaphragm
#4 targets the lower back, strengthening the glutes, and will open up your shoulders
#5, same as #4 for the lower back, and also, boosts your cardio
I'm obviously not as flexible as the guy in the video, I just do my best, and I'm improving little by little every day.
Always breathe through the nose during your practice, and take a break between sets.
If you want to read more about the practice, I recommend the book The Eye Of Revelation
