In a viral interview in May, Piers Morgan spoke with Tzipi Hotovely, the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom. In a highly revealing exchange, Morgan asked Hotovely if she knew how many children Israel had killed over the course of its genocidal war in the Gaza Strip: …
Let’s go ahead and assume, for the sake of argument, that Hotovely is telling the truth. Even if every single child killed in Gaza had been used as a human shield, would that absolve Israel of responsibility for killing them? Of course not.
Back in March 2024, a former ranking IDF officer told Haaretz that the Israeli military was engaged in a form of combat that was “unusually wasteful.” He accused the IDF of “attacking innumerable targets, without asking whether it’s worth attacking them,” using artillery “in places where it’s not really obligatory,” and “demolishing everything before entering.” What’s more, the officer argued that, by causing less destruction, ground forces would have ended up spending less time in Gaza, thereby exposing themselves to fewer casualties. …
The claim that anti-semitism is ubiquitous has itself become a canard. Much in the same way that the Great Awokening sowed the seeds of its own destruction, Israel supporters have overplayed their hand. The anti-semitism card has lost its sting, and fewer and fewer members of the media class are willing to accept its premises. …
Massie is no stranger to spurious accusations of anti-semitism. Back in 2023, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) demanded that Massie take down a meme he characterized as anti-semitic. Earlier this year, the Israel lobby declared preemptive war on his since-abandoned Senate ambitions. And Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Massie are no doubt motivated in part by the former’s subservience to AIPAC and pro-Israel donors like Miriam
Massie’s willingness to continue opposing U.S. backing for Israel’s actions signify an undeniable sea change. At no other time have baseless allegations of anti-semitism been less effective. The more such accusations annoy and alienate people, the harder it will become for Israel to deny the fact that it is responsible for the mass murder of thousands of children.
There have been enough exposes of the IDF purposely targeting children and civilians to be able to deny it. Of course, the age old canard of blood libel and anti-semitism worked, until recently, every time to protect Israel from criticism about their immoral conduct of war, during all of their wars. It looks like now that they are not protected by the MSM and the facts and pictures are being distributed to the general populace these accusations of blood libel and anti-semitism just do not work in squelching the criticisms, any more.
Yeah, thankfully they're losing their hold on everyone except for American Boomers.

Hahaha …. I don’t think that the boomers are falling for that trick anymore, either. There has been enough evidence showing the contrary that nobody can deny the immorality of the IDF anymore. I guess if you think a trick can continue working you may as well keep trying to use it, no matter what people are thinking about it. A con is a con no matter who is doing it.

I don't know that the corporate media they still consume is showing that evidence.
I'd be interested in seeing some updated opinion polling, but I recall seeing some a while ago that basically had all of Israel's support coming from Boomers.

Really?!?!?! Weren’t they the guys that were famously anti-war during the Vietnam war? You know, all peace, love, dope and flowers making San Francisco great! For them to be getting all of their news from the trusted MSM seems to be a bit outrageous, to me. What are they thinking?
reply
Yeah, but their parents fought the Nazis and "never again" means Israel gets a free pass for everything and only a Nazi could disagree with that.
reply
Yes, those darn ol’ Nazis, the ones who killed exactly 6,000,000 Jews with ZyklonB in the concentration camp shower rooms that had prestine white walls. That was after the 6,000,000 Jews wiped out several times by pograms by the Cossacks and etc since the 1860s. Doesn’t anybody ever look at all the evidence from both sides of an argument?

I have no idea where you got that from but there is bipartisan staff support for Israel within Congress. These are kids from the age of 22 through millennials like myself. In meetings with people from across the world the same thing is taking place.
The MSM isnt telling the truth people on both sides are pissed at the Palestine protests that started this whole thing. How the Middle Eastern countries with the exception of Jordan do not do anything because it could cause internal issues. Europe is getting sick of the attacks the UK and Poland have been the most out spoken against it and this isnt boomers.
War is war people die but you cant ignore the clear facts like how the population of Gaza has continued to grow even when you factor in these fatalities.

Nothing could surprise me less than bipartisan support for Israel amongst Congressional staffers.

From the youth though? This support being intranational among the youth?
I mean it runs counter to everything this post talks about. Israel support has been growing again and now because of anything Israel is doing but the clarity in this war and what Israel has done. People love to say AIPAC "owns" politicians but they do not consider at all the WILD dark money that is believed to come from the Gulf Nations for our elections. Hell AIPAC is at least public about it but the Gulf Nations.... yeah operate purely in the shadows.
reply
I haven't seen anything showing support for Israel growing, no that that means much.
A quick search confirmed the steep drop off in support for Israel by generation, although Gen X is higher than I remembered. This Brookings poll is two years old, but they all showed the same trend.
That those who would get hired for staffer jobs support Israel is consistent with the idea that AIPAC wields a lot of influence, especially since it's so at odds with the population at large (in that age group).
reply
Perhaps AIPAC is one of the best referrers for congressional staff. Might as well capture the staff as well as the pols.
I guess the AIPAC is strong in them! Said Yoda.

LMAO if you are ignoant to think that the Saudi's, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and others are not pumping WILD sums of money into the dark money Super Pacs for both sides I mean Jesus
reply
Do you have any evidence that it's of similar or greater magnitude to what Israel/AIPAC spend?
Or is this more "trust me bro" argumentation?
No doubt they are!! Nobody implied that politicians in the US were especially cheap, did they? Just another case of follow the money, isn’t it?
