is the fireworks effect permanent @k00b? can it not be made sesasonal? it damages SN's authenticity i initially joined SN for and does not match with the theme i think

What I see when loading SN, first time, in Incognito on Chrome (138.0.7204.96).
Hitting reload after, gets what I would expect to see.
Just did this again, but shows normal now -- though with the July 4th fireworks.
Assuming whatever it was causing that was related to the introduction of the fireworks, and has since been fixed.
We did have to change some CSS for the fireworks. It looks like it might’ve partially loaded the new stuff for some reason.
is there a special snow effect for winter season under development?
All this talk about Spark got me wondering if SN could benefit from using an (opt-in) statechain for zaps between stackers. The trust model of SN is already weaker than that of a statechain, but just thinking about statechain support feels like heresy, lol
I'm open to exploring it and even defaulting stackers to it (if they don't attach a wallet) so long as we call it what it is, whatever it is.
I'm afraid to use Spark though because I get the impression they will not hesitate to shotgun kyc people if they need to. Without Spark, it'd probably be nontrivial to add lightning support to a statechain we run ourselves though.
The most pressing question I have is how offline receives are handled if they are handled at all. They probably have enough cracked cryptographers to make zaplocker not a liquidity locker, but idk.
I wonder if that's possible somehow. Maybe with a weird script representing the channel? Otherwise Spark would need to generate the hash of
somethingthey don't know, yet revealsomethingonly when they've paid the wallet (which is offline and can't interact to reveal anything).Maybe hedghog channels could be a solution.

Seems like the main idea is that the receiver has to create shards of the preimage and distribute them to the group of Spark operators in advance. Then the receiver can go offline and still receive on lightning.

So I think this whole idea of using a statechain like Spark does completely falls apart when it's all run by the same entity (as is currently still also the case with Spark).

Was the camp an overnighter? They just love those overnighters with the campfire dinner and the “scary” stories. Our favorite meals were the foil meals each kid made for themselves.

You got the Arrow of Light! You went farther in your Cub Scout career than I did! As a Cub Scout I only got to one year during the Bears den and then had to quit. The usual quit point for the kids is that parents just cannot do it any more. I have three sons that were in Scouts.

The fireworks are much more impressive on my laptop compared to mobile.
I noticed a difference between monitors too. On one, the firework leaves a shadow after it explodes and it just stays there. On the other, nothing sticks, it’s clean.
AFAIK this bug should only affect Safari users, so the shadow would also appear on Safari Desktop other than mobile.
