Right, left, up or down DC isn't safe. Last month might have “been better” but for Members and staff…. It isn't safe to walk like in other major cities.
Its only because Capitol PD now operates outside the Capitol that we have gotten the improvements we have but still this stuff is not UNcommon.

The city government has so far caved to Trumps demands like the Capitol PD being allowed off the Capitol to protect us.

I'm at such a loss for why so many people choose to live there. I know some people have to for work, like you, but I know lots of people who intentional tried to get jobs there.

That's the thing I don't. When I moved up here Texas and Flordia were still locked down due to COVID and I had an op to intern and make some money. This was never going to be me long term. Time here has only proven that to me

If I could I wouldn't live here. To be honest it is very odd looking for jobs outside Congress or the Admin…
For instance I want to get back to Texas but honestly… I'm just not sure how at the moment

I feel bad saying thankfully I did not but I did not. He was brand new to his Hill internship as well he started in June. Making matters worse he wasn't the target multiple people jumped out and opened fire at a group and he got hit…. Just terrible.
