Not at all. My business has garnered much less attention and interest from both customers and investors than I had anticipated. Unexpected technical and security issues popped up. I had to scrap my plans to roadtrip New Zealand during the first half of the year. Got 3 fiat jobs in the meantime to pay my bills; first didn't offer enough hours, got fired from the second (without me even realizing my performance wasn't adequate), and laid off from the third (mostly due to being sick throughout the month of May).

This was enough to make my innate anxiety and depression raise their ugly heads, so even when I had the chance to work on my business & my writing, I wasn't nearly as productive as I could have been.

Anyway. I'm still fucking grateful for all of it, because it is on the edge of our abilities and comfort zone where we can innovate, expand and grow the most.

For now I'm back at my parents' place for the summer (as planned) and can focus the next 1-3 months building my stuff. The original plan was to head over to South and Central America in the fall. But that depends on whether or not I can actually start making an income with my own stuff. If not, I might have to stay in Estonia and start looking for a fiat job, once again.

It went quite well. I let go of my previous apprentice in the beginning of the year, but was able to find a new one, a better one within a month. New guy had been very helpful and I'm going to be giving him a raise soon. Work had been quite busy the first half of the year, making me unable to go on a long road trip during Spring Break, but a short 3 days 2 night trip to Vancouver Island was nice too.

The bitcoin price went up a bit faster than I like, as I want to stack more sats. But I'm not complaining, because I understand it's a blessing to still be able to purchase sats with fiat.

Without being too specific I would say in most ways yes but in others no. Overall it was a pretty good first half of the year. Much better than last year when we were struggling with my wife's health leading to her major surgery last June.

It didn't go as expected at all but it is different for the better I guess. My big point now is that I have to focus because my life feels fragmented, also because too much travel - I'm sitting at over 50 flights already so this has to calm down a bit.

My expectation was that this was going to be a lean year because I didn't feel like doing gigs - because last year's gigs sucked. However I got lots of great requests and I've been very busy with nice challenging projects, that still don't pay well, so I guess lean is still coming true, but not for the same reason. I also wasn't planning to spend time on SN but I did do that, and I didn't plan to work on AI stuff but I do (whilst remaining a skeptic.)

In terms of challenges, this year is amazing.

It is wild because professionally I'm behind compared to where I thought I would be but personally I think I'm way ahead which is awesome so its a mixed bag lol

I feel like working in Politics I should have known that my professional goals were going to take longer but I was optimistic with having the trifecta

Mostly so. Some things went unexpectedly positively, some things went unexpectedly negatively, but nothing too major in either direction. Big changes next year as one of my kids is going into middle school and one into high school.

Not exactly, but I tried.

Not as planned, but it's going great so far. I still have my job, I'm opening my own company, I finally had my surgery done and I'm recovering well. Let's hope for the next six months to go as smooth as possible

Best of luck with the house sale (owning an apartment also sucks if neighbors are less educated than you) and try to take things easily. For me it did went as expected. I am not also a bit behind with my plans but I am getting there. We all are getting there! Keep your spirits up and keep stacking at whatever pace you can!

Everything opposite to #1020757 Haha.. Everything as I expected. Hopefully it remains the same. What's important that I'm now exclusively focusing on Bitcoin. No worries about any job or kinda stuff. Just enjoying my life. Sounds too good to be true, right? Here's one minus - My plans for travelling on a motorbike wearing a Bitcoin gear has been suspended by my wife!!

Not Really, i quit my job got into a relationship, got more into Bitcoin, started stacking a bit and now i'm building my own product as a co-founder (and it involves BTC too ^^) I'm planning to live the country too (first time) I spent 5 years idle in the same job, no change and now my life changed drastically
