My latest musings on money, the State, and Modern Monetary Theory for those of you who may be interested in such exotic questions.
"Bitcoin is engineered, not decreed. The properties of Bitcoin closer match the nature of our industrial digital reality than the legalistic power structures of state-based money."
the MMT-school (and its critics!) make the mistake of assuming that their descriptors of money as it is today are equivalent to models for value “forever and ever”.
It's a good point. Probably we have all been doing this for almost as long as we have been using money. Just as language != meaning, money != value. Both are ways groups of people have devised for coordinating with each other.
Monies are languages.

Noted that you are staying in Japan. Give me a howler here if you ever come down to Hong Kong. Would love to catch up over a drink with a fellow bitcoiner.
