Aksakov allowed the launch of a cryptocurrency platform based on the Moscow Exchange The head of the State Duma Committee on the financial market believes that this option is optimal for digital currency trading in Russia
A crypto-exchange based on the Moscow Exchange may be launched in Russia, Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, believes, Prime writes . During a press conference, he stated that such a platform would best cope with the task of conducting cryptocurrency transactions.
“Of course, there should be a crypto-exchange, which is created according to the strict requirements of the Central Bank. I admit that this is a division of the Moscow Exchange, ”Aksakov said. According to him, such a unit will work within the framework of "a respected organization with great traditions."
Aksakov is known for his skepticism towards cryptocurrencies. Last week, he compared interest in cryptocurrencies with gambling. The MP is sure that the market of mining and cryptocurrencies needs to be legalized through strict regulation. We need mandatory identification of participants, testing their qualifications and working only through platforms and operators included in the register of the Central Bank, the politician believes.
