At least Don put on some good fights. But I get your point, he really started this slippery slope from sport to side show. Netflix seems to not care at all. They will put any event on that will get views.
I will say Netflix has done a good job with WWE production though. I have watched a couple of the major events since they started with Netflix and the production is really good.
Boxing you might be able to dance around ring for 30 seconds if you have good footwork but once your opponent sniffs out that you are a fraud it's over. In MMA I think you will be knocked out or submitted in under 10 seconds.
I do like this idea but it would never work in the four major North American sports because you could send the 4 worst teams to play the best teams from other countries leagues and they would still destroy them.
Pretty cool. I am trying to play face cards though and they keep doubling putting me over the desired range. I am not sure why.
I know all about Mazeroski's home run because he was the only player to ever do it until Joe Carter of the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993. So, it got talked about a replayed a lot after Carter's homer. RIP.
Scary stuff. Gave me flashbacks of that hockey player that got hit in the neck by a skate a few years ago and died.
49ers enterprises owns two soccer teams. Leeds United in EPL and Rangers F.C in Scottish premiership. It's an investment arm of the team headed by the 49ers owner Jed York and 49ers enterprises President Paarag Marathe.
They owned 100% of Leeds (seems they are taking outside investors like Crosby now) and 51% of Rangers F.C.
Personally I find it annoying because Jed York used to be one of the best owners and very willing to spend cash beyond the salary cap by paying players cash bonuses to retain them or restructure their contracts to keep the team under the cap but he got very cheap last year after they bought the second soccer team. Hopefully just a one year reset and not a trend.
Is it really premier when you have to send your four best teams to go play in a better league once a year? So yes it is exactly like triple A. In fact we should only describe it as such going forward.
In triple A baseball the best guys get called up to the major leagues to face better competition. In "premier league" soccer the best teams get called up to the Champions league to face better competition.
Yeah. 30 seconds might be optimistic. I still think you have a better shot at lasting longer in boxing than mma.
