I agree with many of your points. But FOSS or fuck off, I don't agree with this. There are good non FOSS products and they can continue building because they have a working business model. Yes they could do FOSS and run a business too, but it's ok if it's not (except if the product "protects" your private keys or other secrets, in this case, FOSS or fuck off). Small FOSS projects can't last forever without money. It's a fact

The reason is pretty simple I think. They have to allocate fund for each new channel. They don't have unlimited bitcoin, so they cannot allocate 40% of each new channel. If they do that, their "LSP" will run out of bitcoin pretty fast I think, and no channel could be created.

Yes it has been used by with an average of ~30 connections and it's a problem. A proxy shouldn't be public unless relays remove REQ limit for proxy. The next step for nostr is probably a relay market to disable limits for specific clients. I also have to add limits on my side to not be spammed
