It could be slow at times due to different relays, but it's crazy to see how fast the protocol is expanding, lots of new features and updates literally everyday, i'd say now is a good time to start exploring Nostr

Showing them how lightning payment works and even tiping for services via WoS after they download the app

IMHO I think it will take time for adoption, but it's a potential threat.

Nostr is very straightforward right now, but for a regular user (an uncle or parent) the concept could be overwhealming.

We also have lots of ppl that don't care about privacy, so mass adoption will happen, but it will take time, and multiple generations.
