Librería de Satoshi is a MARA Foundation finalist — vote closes in 24h

MARA Foundation is directing a $100,000 community-voted contribution to one of three Bitcoin nonprofits. Voting closes in less than 48 hours.

Librería de Satoshi is one of the three finalists — and the only education project in the group.

**What we do**

We make Bitcoin technical education accessible across all languages and geographies. That means Bitcoin Core, Lightning Network, and open-source development — taught in Spanish, for developers across Latin America, Spain, and Africa who are building on the protocol.

Our alumni contribute to Bitcoin Core, work at companies like Spiral, Brink, and Chaincode Labs, and go on to mentor the next cohort. The program is free. The materials are open source.

**Why it matters**

Most Bitcoin development happens in English. That's a centralisation risk — not just cultural, but technical. Fewer languages means fewer contributors means fewer eyes on the code.

- Grants for Bitcoin developers in LATAM
- A certified Bitcoin ambassador program in Spanish
