Hi there cypherpunks of the world.

As you may be aware, in today's world, it's more important than ever to take control of our own lives and freedom. With governments and institutions exerting more and more control, learning about sovereignty is crucial for anyone who wants to be in charge of their own destiny.

That's why, after more than ten years of hosting monthly Bitcoin meetups in the city of Barcelona, some of the meetup founders have decided to take the next step and create a space for people from all over the world to come together and learn about the topics that matter most.

We've found that certain subjects, like bitcoin, permaculture, and privacy, are not only fascinating but also challenging to learn. We want to provide a place where people with little to no knowledge can come and immerse themselves in a wide range of topics, from the basics to advanced levels. Our goal is to create a space where anyone can come and leave as an authentic cypherpunk, equipped with the skills, and also the tools to take control of their own sovereignty. Because yes, we want to help everyone have access not just to the experiences, but also to the tools to become a real cypherpunk.

Today, we're excited to announce the Barcelona Cyphers Conference, or bcc8333, taking place on June 6-7, 2025, in a stunning historical building in the heart of Barcelona's Born neighbourhood. Barcelona, known for its rich history of anarchism and rebellion, is the perfect place for this event. The city's spirit of freedom and nonconformity is still alive and well, and we're excited to tap into that energy. This isn't your typical conference - it's a gathering of people who are passionate about bitcoin and sovereignty, and who want to learn from each other and build a better future.

At bcc8333, you'll have the chance to learn from experienced builders and doers who are working on the frontlines of bitcoin, energy, permaculture, nostr, p2p apps, and privacy. We'll be covering a wide range of topics, from the basics of bitcoin and nostr to more advanced topics like node building without intel spy chips, inheritance planning and energy resilience. With a mix of technical and non-technical panels, workshops, and hands-on experiences, there's something for everyone - whether you're a tech expert or just starting to learn. 
And after two days of intensive sessions, we'll be closing out the conference with a bang - a great party on Saturday night, with unlimited beers and wine for all attendees, where you can unwind, network, and celebrate with your new friends and fellow cypherpunks.
