We are hiring a systems engineer who wants to work with us on improving self-custody.

**What you will be doing** 

- Research new protocols and applications for self-custody
- Design and engineer systems in Rust
- Help manage our infrastructure (deployment, upgrades, security)
- Be an integral part of our team contributing to whatever is needed to help Lava succeed

**What we look for in you**

- You align with the guidelines and values we use to decide who we hire and how we operate: https://www.lava.xyz/onepager
- You understand self-custody and crypto protocols (ex. bitcoin). You were able to, for example, read our loans specification (can find on our github or twitter) and understand it.
- You can do one of the following (or both):
    - design and engineer systems in Rust. If you don’t know Rust, you’re willing to learn it ASAP.
    - work on infrastructure (deployment, upgrades, security).

**Nice to haves**

- You live in NYC, or you’re willing to relocate to NYC
