Glad to be a part of the first cohort and from Samoa building out this truly  innovative potential of #Bitcoin for the #Pacific and #Samoa.
As small island nations our size works for us, not against us as the bitcoin economy can scale easily across these smaller nations looking for support from the diaspora so we can lead and not follow by leveraging what Bitcoin and #Blockchain have to offer, securing our sovereignty and better enabling our self determination across the Pacific and the world.

Building Samoa's Digital Fa'asamoa: Sovereignty Through Bitcoin

    Focused on securing Samoa's future, I'm driving the national conversation on how the Bitcoin Ethos can champion true economic self-sovereignty and wealth distribution for the Pacific. My work is rooted in fa'asamoa principles—community-first, respect, and stewardship—applying them to modern digital finance.

    My focus includes advocating for and building a strategic Bitcoin reserve for Samoa, moving us beyond the volatility of short-term grants and colonial financial systems. We champion a transparent, long-term Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy, ensuring national wealth is preserved and accountable to the people—a crucial element as we lay the foundations of initial Central Bank and World Bank-funded digital programs.

    The most immediate, impactful change we are pushing for is the adoption of Bitcoin Lightning for remittances. This isn't just technology; it's a humanitarian and economic mechanism projected to save Samoan families and the wider Pacific diaspora millions in exorbitant transaction fees, redirecting those savings back into our communities for education, empowerment, and genuine, grassroots wealth creation.

    My mission is clear: to ensure Samoans build the digital future for Samoa, aligning with the core sovereignty and transparency that only blockchain, correctly applied, can offer.
