And the way they are going it will be worth about as much as Monopoly money too!
I wanted a place to be able to share things without having to worry about being banned. And from that standpoint Nostr succeeded. But I might as well be posting into the void for all the engagement I get. It really seems that unless you are a Bitcoin influencer or a Nostr dev you won’t get any attention.
They’re making an example of him as a warning to everyone else. I would be surprised if he is ever released.
I think that the English language has been watered down significantly
I think this is by design and sadly most people have no idea what they are missing.
Government: ”I don’t have a spending problem. I can stop anytime I want to. I just don’t want to right now…”
I like the concept of Nostr but every time I post something I get almost no engagement. Hard to stay on a platform when you feel like you’re just posting notes into the void.
SN is much better for engagement.
Maybe @evankaloudis can provide some insight?
I think this makes sense. But I’m still pretty new to Bitcoin and lightning so I’m trying to understand what this means for me as Zeus is my lightning wallet of choice right now.
My journey to SN
Reddit -> Nostr -> SN
I just wish SN was around when I first joined Reddit. So much wasted time for fake internet points instead of being rewarded with zaps.
As far as I’m concerned SN is peak social media for me. Nostr is great with zaps but Reddit was always more my style. I look forward to seeing the SN community continue to grow.
Very interesting and I agree that this makes sense. I just worry the government will try and twist the law in order to come after individuals anyway.
I’m thinking the FBI is being intentionally misleading to scare normal people away from Bitcoin by making it sound illegal.
I did a little more looking and managed to find this:
1Password did an AMA on Reddit 7 months ago where they indicated that they are working with the FIDO alliance to come up with a standard for importing/exporting passkeys.
