Not great. We are at home with sick kids. It happened last minute so we have no contingency plans for today to salvage things.
This is a hard one for me. The past 3 years have been pretty rough - especially around the holidays.
I am thankful for my family so I don’t have to go through everything alone.
Once you’ve seen how these systems are cobbled together – the biases, the rushed timelines, the constant compromises – you stop seeing AI as futuristic and start seeing it as fragile
As someone who works in software development this pretty much describes all software that powers the modern world. I’m far less trusting of computers now that I’ve “seen how the sausage is made”
I never really understood why he suddenly changed course and didn’t want the files released in the first place - unless he was protecting someone else. If there really was anything damaging to him in those files they would have been released during the election to keep him from winning.
It’s a little scary how easily so many went along with the official narrative.
I always wondered how people in the past could have allowed atrocities to happen. Now I know…
Hopefully you they are successful in preserving the data on the tapes. Would be a shame for this piece of computer history to vanish forever.
It is always crazy to me when something random and historically valuable shows up in a closet somewhere.
They made it past the elections. Then waited just a bit longer to see if the Republicans would cave after seeing the election results.
It will be very interesting to see where this stablecoin gambit leads. I remember hearing interesting theories about it back in August on the No Agenda Show Podcast.
