I was actually thinking about this earlier, there's a lot of hate, and to be honest hating something is easier than loving it, or liking it, or just merely putting up with it.
But the viral hate. Or even the viral love. Seems so--- dystopian.
Why can't we just get along and bitcoin p2p with whom we want?
You could apply this to whatever you want.

Yes, just like being paid for YouTube and Twitch for streaming what you love. I do think being able to game specifically and earn a living would be cool.
The first thing that comes to mind is MMO's are very much suited to this, but most of them have a "You cannot sell or buy accounts/characters externally and if you do you're banned".
I understand why that's their but for example. If someone spent their life playing an MMO and their son wanted to sell their stuff to be able to keep living, that should be totally doable.

OrangeMarts Rust's implement of bitcoin is awesome. When I last checked it, it was QR codes on the boards. And someone with the ingame vending machines.
I agree that every game/service that handles money should handle it a way that is approprate to them, financially or otherwise.

I'd be MORE willing to pay/buy "skins" for a game, if I could later sell them, if I wanted.
And if that value was in sats/btc.

I agree. I'm currently playing modded fallout 4 and have the bottlecap perk x2 and I just loot the caps from the storage and now, lvl ~30 I have like 4K caps.

Yeah those hypercasual games... hmm
I played on ZBD and Thundr games a while back. Have they changed much?
Thing is ads in games that are free, are a sad norm.
[
Just to clarify, I was specifically talking about the big games and cost money, and then
people still spend money in them.
Having the payment not be coins or whatever and be actual bitcoin/sats.

That's a very interesting idea. Seems a bit weird to me, but it's an idea none the less.
Yeah, having bitcoin/lightning means that games can have biiig and small purchase points.
So for example a DLC with say one quest could be 1 sat, but a full storyline could be 100 sats, with new items and all that stuff.
I think it will only take one game dev to do this to really see the potential.
The fact that bitcoin/lightning is on the phones, things like being on console isn't an issue, just need a QR code and mobile data.
OMG I just won, awesome. 90 sats
It's basically wii tanks.
EDIT:
Add a Waiting List
So that you know if others are waiting.
It's basically a faucet.
Players are rewarded for voting for the server, which brings it higher up a list of servers.
This allows for people to earn satoshis and be able to particpate in the economy of the server for their work.
Or a whale could come in and dump a bunch of satoshis and buy everything.
And using the market plugin, the prices would change based on the whale coming in. Etc.
We have a discord where people say:
"I have put a stack of gold ingot for sale at 40 sats."
Hello, I'm one of the Moderators.
The way the server itself makes money is through fees when players do certain commands that cost sats.
Minecraft players would be familliar with /vote and get things like Diamonds or Coins etc. The wallet that provides the sats, gains sats through player activity.
Using the /trade command, when next to another player allows P2P (no fees) trading.
Allowing for pure P2P and the server doesn't get anything from /trade.
